Four things you need to give up to grow closer to God.

1. WORRY 

Worry is worshiping the problem.  Prayer is handing the problem over to God. God tells us to cast all our cares on him and not to worry about anything because he cares for us.

2. SPEAKINV NEGATIVELY ABOUT YOURSELF.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. What you say shapes who you become. So stop declaring defeat over your life. Start declaring God's word over yourself and see yourself the way he sees you. 

3. LETTING FEAE CONTROL YOU.

The devil is a liar. God did not give you a spirit of fear. Fear and doubt are planted by the enemy to keep you from becoming who God has called you to be. But remember, God goes before you, so what are you afraid of?

4. PEOPLE PLEASING 

Stop making decisions based on what others might think. When you walk with God, not everyone will agree with you because you're choosing what's right in his eyes, not the world's. Focus on pleasing God, not people.
